
Major elements of the project included installing all the services, removing the pantile roof, repairing timbers, fitting insulation and putting the roof back on.
The interior space is spread over two floors, with a large double height hall leading to all the other accommodation. The interior is a mix of traditional materials, such as the exposed stone walls, and more modern elements, such as a vaulted ceiling in the living room, a sauna and a split-level office.

Scarah Mill Barn was an unconverted farm building, bought with planning permission to convert into a residential property. The original building had a number of openings, including a large barn door overlooking the adjacent field.
